By the time we got P4, the top was missing. We didn’t ask were it went ~ or the cheesy air horns from the driver fender ~ we all agreed that it was a better scout for them being gone! But one thing we knew ~ we have one heck of a big job in front of us.
First thing to do was to get rid of everything we weren’t going to use. Starting with every bit of suspension it came with. Second thing to go, believe it or not, was the stock winch and front bumper. Joe will be getting a new one later.
Got Hover’Scout’?
Next we tore out the interior. Noelle, Chris’s girlfriend, aided in throwing out the very-nasty front seats ~ with all the cracks, rips and that awesome suede & vinyl combination ~ they were destine for the junk pile.
Below the scary seats were a plethora of countless treasure! 100 year old raisins, Crayola markers, a zip tie and about 50 cents in change. Yet, nothing was as bad as being the first to lift the factory’s full-length rubber mat!
It didn’t take us long to know why the seats weren’t very solid ~ not to mention the doors that didn’t close!
Funny how the tranny tunnel NEVER rusts ~ so it was with P4, the entire floor was covered in cancer, but the trans tunnel was spotless ~ go figure. Well at least we know why the seats felt a little *loose* ~ I’m glad that we’re putting the new seats to the cage!
