Shipping Policy Change 2/1/2004

D and C has always put out the highest quality products for our customers.  However, recently we’ve had problems with damage caused during shipping ~ mainly with bumpers.  To combat this problem D and C would like to publish its policies for the shipment heavy items ordered with any finish.

  • First and foremost, D and C promises never to ship a damaged product ~ EVER.  If a bumper (or any powder coated item) has a blemish in the finish, it will be returned to the coater. This may cause a delay in shipping.
  • Second, FROM NOW ON ~ Any powder coated object (bumper or otherwise) that cannot be properly boxed, will be shipped on a pallet (a.k.a. truck freight).  This may be more expensive for single product orders, but it is usually less expensive for 2 or more products (Rear bumpers w/ tire carriers are considered 2 products). 
  • Third, D and C will do everything reasonable to insure proper packing.  That includes the reasonable use of bubble wrap, cardboard shielding and stretch film.
  • Forth, D and C will try to only use shipping companies that are responsible stewards of our shipments. 
  • Fifth, as a courtesy to our customers, any non-finished product(s) will be shipped the least expensive way possible.

Please understand that D and C is committed to the continued production of high quality parts and services.  However, we are not a shipping company nor are we affiliated with any.  While shipping damage is regrettable, we cannot be held responsible for the damage caused during shipping. 

We wish it was possible for us to guarantee each and every product/package we ship out would be delivered in exactly the same condition it was when it was shipped, but that is simply not possible. However, we are confident that these precautions will greatly reduce the already small amount of complaints we’ve received regarding shipping damage.
