Dana 44 Scout II Rear Disc Brake Conversion Kit Installed

In this video D and C Extreme Chief Mechanic Rob Lomax walks us through how to install the Dana 44 Rear Disc Brake Conversion Kit on a Scout II.

Before we begin there are a few tools that you will need to accomplish this task:

  • 9/16″ wrenches and/or 9/16″ socket with ratchet
  • 3/4″ wrench
  • 3/8″ allen wrench
  • 3/4″ deep socket wrench
  • 1/2″ drive ratchet
  • torque wrench
  • Slide hammer with hub adapter

Now, we execute this task with the axle removed from the Scout II, but you can do this with the axle still attached. We wanted to give the clearest view of the installation as we could. We hope you enjoy and learn from the video. If you have any questions feel free to email Rob Lomax or Eric Younger, or if you’d rather call the D and C Extreme Shop at 719-622-8287
